Program Description
The objective of PSI/China's IPC activities with sex workers is to increase consistent condom use among sex workers with all sexual partners. The program operates 2 drop in centers (DICs), each staffed with peer educators and outreach workers. Each DIC has related outreach/peer educators. The DIC itself is the site for training activities and sometimes this is done out in the brothels or karaoke bars, etc. Brochures are distributed by IPC staff to reinforce health messages. IPC workers use various methods to express health messages, including visual aids such as flip charts, and games. Training manuals help to ensure program quality.
